More than a page turning, it's an era coming to an end. Anna Wintour is handing over the reins of American Vogue to a French-American journalist, not yet 40, named Chloe Malle. The daughter of director Louis Malle (1932-1995) and actress Candice Bergen (who played Carrie Bradshaw's boss at Vogue magazine in Sex and the City ), the journalist had been running the website of the flagship publication of the Condé Nast group (Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, GQ) for nearly two years, and co-hosted the weekly podcast The Run-Through , dedicated to fashion and culture. The news, first revealed by Page Six , was confirmed this Tuesday, September 2, in an email sent to the media's subscribers.

As per group policy since 2021, Chloe Malle has been given the title of “head of editor”
